Our Next Meeting

December 13th, 2016

8:30am - 10:30am

Anderson Center at Bethel University

2 Pine Tree Drive

Arden Hills, MN 55112

Topic: Alternative Experiential Learning
There are numerous students who participate in experiential learning outside of the traditional, undergraduate internship.  In this session we will learn about the similarities and differences of working with students who have intellectual disabilities, new Americans, high school-aged, and adult students.  The session will begin with a panel discussion featuring speakers from STEP-UP Achieve, International Institute of Minnesota, the BUILD program at Bethel University, and Metropolitan State University.  We will follow this up with small group conversations to allow for further questions and exchange of ideas around what has worked and not worked as you engage these students in experiential learning.

Appetizers compliments of the MAFEL are provided.

Please RSVP at  mafel@mafel.org.
